Chris

I have been an alcoholic and drug addict my entire life, which led to jail and prison multiple times. The last time around I decided it was time to change my life. I started seeking God with my whole heart and when I got out, I was moved into a recovery house and started attending meetings at PDAP. I immediately knew that PDAP would be my home group. I loved that God, whom I choose to call my higher power was in the rooms and it kept me coming back. The love that has been shown to me at PDAP has in turn made me love not only myself, but the people in the program as well. PDAP has become a regular hang out spot before the meetings to chat or play cards.

I am grateful for the friendships built at PDAP especially with Stewart and Jared (former PDAP counselor) because I was able to leave a job, I wasn’t happy at because of Jared telling me about a new job opportunity. I am still at that job, that I love today 2 years later. There was also a time where I had my teeth pulled and shortly after lost my insurance. PDAP stepped in and helped me get the dentures that I needed.

The rooms at PDAP have truly changed my life and given me direction. Today I live a very blessed life and a lot of that I owe to PDAP for the direction in recovery I have been given. I continue to come to PDAP to give back what was given to me. I have been clean and sober since October 5, 2013.
